- band t-shirts: John wears a t-shirt for Swamp Baby, who did the music for the movie. Joe, as observed by mortmere, wears a Jack Daniels t-shirt for most of the movie. Pipe wears a Misfits t-shirt.
- Books: Mortmere caught these too. The book Billy is reading on the tour bus while Pipe is ranting about the bus is actually a comic book, I Never Liked You by Canadian comics artists Chester Brown. Also visible on the tour bus: a collection of seven plays by Sam Shepard - including The Tooth of Crime, a play about an ageing rock singer who's under attack from a younger up-and-comer. Sam Shepard is also Patti Smith's ex, and they wrote a play together - Cowboy Mouth, a phrase John quotes during the final gig.
